Atletico Madrid's Mario Hermoso backed up real quick when he saw Kurt Zouma trudge towards him tonight.

Hermoso was in the face of Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger after he made of meal of an elbow to his midriff from Stefan Savic, who was shown a straight red card late on in the 3-0 aggregate defeat.

Rudiger was unfazed and handling things on his own but the arrival of his fellow giant centre-back Zouma prompted Hermoso to retreat in rapid time.

He told him to clear off and the Spaniard, rather smartly, did not waste any time sticking around.

Atleti have long been the masters of the dark arts under Diego Simeone but they got a taste of their own medicine at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday evening.

And Chelsea fans loved Zouma and Rudiger sending Hermoso packing:

Chelsea were already 1-0 up on the night through Hakim Ziyech at the time of the red card, with Emerson Palmieri securing the victory and passage into the Champions League quarter finals for the first time in seven years with a stoppage time strike.

The Blues are now 13 games unbeaten under manager Thomas Tuchel since he replaced Frank Lampard in West London.
