Manchester United Player Contract From 1965 Emerges Online

A bit of nostlagia...

A Manchester United player contract from 1965 has emerged online and it belongs to former United goalkeeper Pat Dunne.

Dunne, who also turned out for Everton and Plymouth Argyle, sadly passed away in 2015.

But a photo of his United contract is now doing the rounds. A user on the 'soccer' section on Reddit posted the image, saying: "My friend just found his grandad's contract from when he signed for Manchester United."

The length of the contract was for two years, with the weekly wage of £35 - a stark contrast to the extortionate wages footballers rake in these days.

The document is dated, addressed and signed by football secretary Les Olive and also features the name of decorated United manager Sir Matt Busby.

A very nice piece of football nostalgia indeed. Maybe you have your paws on an old player contract or a rare piece of football memorabilia? If you do, we'd love to hear from you.
