Lionel Messi has been filling in International colleague Sergio Aguero about incoming manager Pep Guardiola.

Barcelona's talisman has given high praise about his former manager as he embarks on a career in the Premier League.

Messi has won the coveted Ballon d'Or five times under the watchful tutelage of Guardiola as well as lifting the Champions League twice.

Messi has been filling in Aguero on what to expect, as the Manchester City forward revealed to The Daily Mail;

"Lionel Messi has told me he is very impressive and other players with whom I have spoken have said the same. I think he is a coach who will put a lot of pressure on the players and we need that."

The Spaniard has managed to win the league with both Barca and Bayern Munich, with City fans hoping he can replicate his success in Spain and Germany where City have failed to win the league in the last two seasons.

Guardiola's arrival to England was revealed mid-season, as The Blues faltered their way through the rest of the campaign, despite reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League. After finishing in the top four by the skin of their teeth, Guardiola will look to implement his footballing philosophy on the side before recruiting his own talent, though Argentine is sure to be a key-man.
