A football fan has created a compilation showing how Steven Gerrard and Mohamed Salah would have played together for Liverpool.

Twitter user @compsfooty has shared the video that's brilliantly edited to show the pair of Liverpool favourites linking up and wreaking havoc on defences.

The video shows Gerrard piercing through balls to Salah who gets on the end of them and doing what he does best in front of goal, and there's even an assist from Salah who sets up Gerrard.

Check out the video below, titled: "A brief look at what it could have looked like if they played together."

Gerrard forged a lethal partnership with Fernando Torres during the Spaniard's prolific spell at Anfield.

Liverpool's former No.9 scored 81 goals for the club, but Salah has already bagged 91 goals for the club in two-and-a-bit-seasons.

A duo of Gerrard and Salah could have been even more destructive than the Englishman's partnership with Torres.

'The Egyptian King' has won back-to-back Premier League Golden Boots since returning to England's top flight.

He chipped in with an impressive 32 goals in the 2017/18 season before recording 22 goals in the 2018/19 campaign.

He has 16 league goals to his name this season before the Premier League was suspended because of the coronavirus crisis. He's three goals behind leading scorer Jamie Vardy, who has 19 goals for Leicester City.
