PSG Set To Honour Zlatan With Ridiculous Tribute

Too far?

Zlatan Ibrahimovic leaves PSG as the club's all time top goalscorer this summer which is pretty impressive considering he's only been in the French capital for four years. But after stopping their game to give him a standing ovation but their next tribute might go a bit too far.

Ibra finally announced last week that he would definitely be leaving Paris Saint-Germain, in his usual modest way, when he tweeted about arriving as a king but leaving as a legend. It's not known yet where he'll be off to although the Premier League remains an option.

After the game on Saturday, when Zlatan was of course on the score sheet, president Nasser Al Khelaifi gave a speech on the pitch in a usual end of season address and obviously talked about the departing player. However he admitted on Swedish tv later that he'd missed out news about a tribute to the striker:

"We tried to do everything for him, because he deserves it. One thing that I forget to say during my speech was that we are going to name a stand in his name."

On Saturday the former AC Milan striker moved to 38 league goals this season which also broke another club record beating the previous mark of 37 by Carlos Bianchi in the 1977-78 campaign.

Zlatan also hold records for most goals for PSG, 154, most goals in a season, 44 this season, most goals in Ligue 1, 109, most goals in UEFA competitions, 20 and has twice scored four goals in a match which is an equal record.

Whilst it's a very impressive list of records and the Swede has been brilliant for them in his time there it really does show a team with a lack of history, having been formed only in 1970, that he would have a stand named after him.

We love Zlatan but we reckon this is too far!
