Francesco Totti can boast of playing alongside Gabriel Batistuta, Cafu, Andrea Pirlo, Alessandro Del Piero, Paolo Maldini and Gianluigi Buffon but the Roman Emperor still has one wish that he never had granted during his illustrious playing career.
Il Gladiatore never got to lay on through balls for Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima.
El Fenomeno spent two spells in Italy, with Internazionale and then AC Milan, but never pulled on the shirt of the Giallorossi.

Speaking to Corriere della Sera , the 41-year-old said, "[My one regret was] that I was not able to play with Ronaldo.
"It would have been a dream not only for me but also for him because I would have made him score even more.
"He scored fairly enough but with me playing behind him then maybe..."

Ronaldo would score 59 times in 99 appearances for Inter, lifting the 1998 UEFA Cup with the Nerazzurri before hitting nine in 20 games during a brief spell with Milan between 2006 and 2008.
Imagine the damage he and Totti could have done together as a strikeforce. One of the greatest partnerships we never got to see, but it's arguably the one all late '90s football fans deserved.
