I like Alexis Sanchez, as a player there's no doubt he's bloody brilliant and as he's a person who has set up an Instagram account for his dogs it's impossible not to absolutely love him. That said I have to disagree with him here, he is not as good as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Arsenal and Chile forward had a pretty good summer proving for the second year in a row that he is certainly more capable of winning an international title as his country beat Messi's in the final of the Copa America once again on penalties.
Whether or not that is his basis for claiming that he's on the same level as the best two players in the world, by some distance in most people's eyes, I'm not too sure but he certainly thinks he's on par with the pair telling Spanish paper Sport:

"I have reached a level where I can compete with great players. I do not feel inferior to anybody.
"I liken [my qualities] to Messi and Ronaldo. I have the same abilities as them."
Sanchez has been a big hit at the Emirates since moving from the Camp Nou in 2014 and has scored 30 goals in 68 Premier League appearances and, whilst one can't compare his numbers to Messi's in the Premier League, the 27 year old has come no where near the figures Ronaldo posted in England or those either player made when in La Liga.

If he's as good as he says he is then Arsenal should have no trouble competing for the title this season but alas I can't help but feel that as good as Sanchez is he just falls short of that best in the world bracket. I do hope he proves me wrong but if not they'll always be the dogs.
