Harry Kane is now one of the world's best strikers, some would say the best and it would be hard to argue with them. But even the best find it tough against some people and Kane has named his toughest opponent.

It's taken Harry Kane around five years to go from nobody to Europa League player to one season wonder to one of the best strikers in the world who would be worth around £200 million if Spurs decided to sell him.

He has proved himself against the Premier League time and again and Spurs had one of their biggest tests in the Champions League when they faced Juventus.

And Kane reveals that having faced Giorgio Chiellini twice, once for England and once for Spurs, the Juventus centre back is his toughest opponent, telling the Guardian:

"I've been asked a few times to name the toughest defender I've played against and I've said Chiellini. I've faced him a couple of times. I'd also say John Terry.

"Chiellini is very experienced. He uses his body well and his positioning well. When you try to make runs, he knows when to step across you. He knows when to give you a little nudge to put you off balance.

"He obviously knows when to come tight and get up your backside and also when to drop off. It's the experienced defenders that are the most difficult because they know where to be at the right times."

Surprised by Kane's pick?
