Borussia Dortmund star Giovanni Reyna broke down in tears after suffering a heartbreaking injury just ONE minute into his side's match against Stuttgart.

Reyna, 19, started Dortmund's Bundesliga clash at Stuttgart - but lasted just six minutes.

The budding talent returned to the starting XI having only recently recovered from a long-term hamstring problem.

He appeared to reaggravate his hamstring as he left the pitch in tears in incredibly emotional scenes.

Reyna looked distraught and was reduced to tears as he made his way down the tunnel.

Speaking after Dortmund's 2-0 victory on Friday, manager Marco Rose said: "It's a drama, you really have to say that.

"A really, really great footballer, fine person. If he stays healthy he will be world class.

"I'm not leaning too far out of the window. We will support him in everything."

Reyna has only played 13 games in all competitions for Dortmund this season, having been blighted with a series of injures.

He suffered a hamstring injury in USA's World Cup qualifier against El Salvador last September that sidelined him for more than five months.

He then reaggravated the injury on his return for Dortmund at the start of February, keeping him out of action for a couple of weeks.

The American attacker had appeared in all three games during the most international break and looked to be well recovered.

But his latest injury is yet another setback in a terribly frustrating season.
