After leaving Neymar looking like he'd just gone 10 minutes with Brock Lesnar, on Thursday night, Bolivia's Yasmani Duk has explained why he battered Brazil's golden boy.

The Barcelona forward was left with blood streaming from his head after the 28-year-old Duk clattered the Olympic gold medalist for daring to attempt a nutmeg during the recent World Cup qualifier.

Now Duk, who plays his club football for the New York Cosmos, delivered a swift elbow to Neymar by way of punishment and has now revealed to AS as to why he resorted to such a violent tactic and he didn't seem too apologetic or remorseful.

"Neymar was being a bit too cocky - he was like that with all of us throughout the game, but all I was trying to do was cut off a move - which is what happens in football. Everyone knows the sport has its physical side - I had my nose broken and no one says a word."

"To become the best player in the world, he's got to stop this 'Charlie Big Bollocks' behaviour and start showing some respect for his opponents".

Somehow, we doubt even an elbow to the face will prevent Neymar from trying to embarrass defenders on a weekly basis.
