Bayern Munich Eying Up Big Managers To Replace Under-Fire Niko Kovač

Niko Kovač's spell at Bayern Munich could be heading towards disaster after a poor start to the season.
The 46-year-old coach arrived at the club in 2018 and succeeded Jupp Heynckes, who had stepped in as interim manager in the previous season after Carlo Ancelotti had been sacked.

According to the German newspaper Bild, the Bundesliga champions are ready to swing the axe down on Kovač and have shortlisted some world-class names to become their next manager.
Former Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane, former Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger and former Paris Saint-Germain boss Laurent Blanc are three of the names to feature on Munich's radar.
Bayern Munich's shortlist of candidates to replace Niko Kovac includes Laurent Blanc, Zinedine Zidane & Arsène Wenger, according to BILD.

The German club are sixth in the Bundesliga after seven matches and are four points adrift from league leaders Borussia Dortmund.
Bayern were thrashed 3-0 at home to Borussia Mönchengladbach last weekend, which has only added pressure on the under-fire Kovač.
Bild tonight is running an insider story about the bad mood at Säbener Straße and the doubts surrounding Niko Kovač. Some interesting/worrying details in the next few tweets.

1. The James tantrum: James was fuming in the dressing room after the Ajax game. Among other things, he said: "We are not here in Frankfurt!" aimed at Niko Kovač. James was angry because he was benched and is said to be wanting to leave and that he will tell the coach. pic.twitter.com/sN6lCzhMaJ

2. Croatian instead of German: Niko Kovač speaks Croatian with his brother Robert, goalkeeping coach Toni Tapalović and Hasan Salihamidžić even when others are around. Many feel that it's disrespectful. Assistant coach Peter Hermann is not pleased. pic.twitter.com/mxnKGMC6ZN

3. Tactics: The players are missing a clear style of play like they had under Guardiola or Heynckes. Especially in attack, Kovač doesn't offer new things in his analysis. Instead, he seems to insist over and over again on where the centre-backs have to stand on the pitch. pic.twitter.com/Ep4gc9TH7s

4.Rotation: The players don't have a problem with the rotation itself, but wit how Kovač executes it. They are concerned over the fair distribution of game time. Many players performed well then were put on the bench the next game (James after Schalke or Süle after Leverkusen) pic.twitter.com/ROde1d8lDY

5/5. Training, today's training session only lasted 52 minutes, although it was a normal training day. Players expected a hard day of work and preparation and were surprised that the session was not intensive. pic.twitter.com/SISSwfZkhQ
