Fernandinho's Pre-Match Comments Have Angered Liverpool Fans

It's easy to see why...

Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho has irritated Liverpool supporters with his comments ahead of the Champions League quarter final second leg.

City go into the game 3-0 down from the first leg at Anfield and know they really need to stop Liverpool scoring or else they must score at least.

It's a very difficult task for Pep Guardiola's side, but if anyone can produce the most unlikely of comebacks, it's them.

This will be the fourth meeting between the two sides this term, with City having great difficulty at Anfield but smashing the Reds 5-0 early on the season after Sadio Mane deservedly saw Red with Liverpool 1-0 down.

Fernandinho was on press conference duty alongside Pep Guardiola today and decided to play some mind games when he accused Liverpool, one of the best teams to watch in Europe, of playing long balls.

Unsurprisingly, the perplexing comment from the Brazilian riled up plenty of Liverpool fans on social media:

Will Liverpool and their long balls do the business or will City turn it around?

Sound off in the comments.
