The Belgian didn't react well at all.

Thursday night's Manchester derby was one of the Premier League's duller games until Marouane Fellaini interjected with his big head. After the match the big Belgian was still fuming with the ref.

Jose Mourinho was in typical Mourinho mood in midweek as he turned up to the Etihad with the sole purpose of frustrating the opposition and coming away with a point.

His tactics arguably worked perfectly although, unlike against the recent game against Chelsea, United were rarely able to counterattack on Thursday.

That meant the draw seemed almost inevitable, that was at least until Fellaini had a minute of madness. The midfielder picked up a yellow card with only a few minutes of the game left for a foul on Sergio Aguero.

Inside a minute Fellaini had brought the Argentine down again but may have got away with just a warning until he headbutter Aguero and earned himself a straight red.

The former Evertonian wasn't happy with the decision and had to be dragged off the pitch by his teammates and according to the Mirror that theme continued in the changing room after full time.

The paper claims that the player had to be dragged away by his teammates after angrily going to demand an explanation from Martin Atkinson with a witness saying:

"Fellaini was in tears and stamping his feet.

"He was screaming 'I want to know why, I want to know why' as he stormed towards the referee's dressing room.

"He was fortunate that some stewards managed to restrain him before team-mates ushered him back into United's dressing room."

Whilst Fellaini didn't make much contact with Aguero and the City striker did hit the deck easily it was clearly a red card with Atkinson getting the decision spot on.

However the 29 year old clearly didn't see it that way and was fuming as he made his way off the pitch and if reports are right long after too.

Fellaini will miss the next three league games for United, including today against Swansea, but his punishment would have been a lot worse if not for his teammates.
