FA Line Up Coach To Help Allardyce

He'll need all the hope he can get.

Sam Allardyce will become the new England manager at some point. The FA are currently thrashing out details with Sunderland over Big Sam's future but he will take up the post soon and when he does he's going to need all the help he can get.

Pretty much everything the FA have tried over the last few years just hasn't worked and many think the problems in the England team are more deep rooted but if you take the England rugby union and cricket teams as recent examples it might just work. It could just be clutching at straws.

However one way or another the former Bolton manager is going to need some help when he finally takes the hot seat as the new saviour of English football. According to The Times, the FA are ready to offer a coaching role to Bayern Munich number two Paul Clement.

The Englishman is Carlo Ancelotti's assistant manager at the Allianz Arena but despite Gary Neville no longer being the England assistant manager it's not thought that Clement will be given that role and will just be a part time coach working with Big Sam and the players during international breaks.

Clement was Ancelotti's right hand man at Paris Saint Germain and Real Madrid before going into management himself with Derby last season before being sacked part way through the season when actually in a pretty strong position in the league, the sacking didn't work as they didn't get promoted.

The Englishman is said to be open to the idea although he hasn't yet had an official approach. Allardyce is said to be on board with the offer.
