Cristiano Ronaldo struck twice in the 4-0 win over Alaves to take his overall tally to 28 for the season, but it was something else that he did which got everybody talking.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner had the chance to bag his 50th career hat-trick, and what many are saying would have been his 300th career goal, when Real were awarded a penalty in the 80th minute.
Given he's Real's regular penalty taker, you'd have thought Ronaldo would have been chomping at the bit to score from 12 yards and get the match-ball.
However, he passed up the opportunity and let Karim Benzema take the spot-kick. The Frenchman had been struggling in front of goal lately and missed a sitter earlier in the game, but got on the scoresheet thanks to Ronaldo's unselfish act.
Fans loved the gesture on Ronaldo's part:
Fair play, Cristiano.
