Eric Bailly produced an incredible pass for Dan James' goal - and even the Ivorian himself was surprised by his assist.

Manchester United ran out 4-0 winners against Real Sociedad in Turin, with Bruno Fernandes striking twice as well as Marcus Rashford and James getting in on the rout.

James provided the icing on the cake in the 90th minute, with the former Swansea City speedster turning on the jets and slotting home.

It was a great solo run from James but at the same time he owed a lot to Bailly, who produced a glorious defence-splitting pass.

Hitting it first-time, the former Villarreal defender put a perfect weight on it so that the ball took the full-back out of the equation entirely and allowed James to run in behind.

Once he got ahead of the defenders, there was no way anyone was ever catching him. The assist from Bailly was one you'd normally expect from Fernandes or Kevin De Bruyne, and he reacted in hilarious fashion on Instagram.

He wrote: "Big win away from home, but we still have an unfinished business. Top assist, can't believe I did it!"

Teammate Juan Mata wasn't having it, telling Bailly, "You didn't mean it."

Bailly also conjured up another quite incredible moment in the second half when he attempted an overhead kick.

The 26-year-old didn't exactly catch it cleanly, but luckily for him the whistle had been blown for a foul committed by defensive partner Harry Maguire.

There's never a dull moment when Bailly is around.
