David de Gea has already attracted interest from three top European clubs amid uncertainty surrounding his Manchester United future, according to reports.

The 30-year-old Spaniard was Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's No 1 at United at the start of the season ahead of Dean Henderson.

But De Gea returned to Spain for the birth of his first child as Henderson stepped up in his absence.

Now, the Spanish shot-stopper watched on from the bench as United beat Brighton 2-1 at Old Trafford on Sunday.

De Gea's Old Trafford future has been plunged into doubt after recent reports suggested that he would be axed at the end of the season.

And further reports have claimed that the United star's relationship with Solskjaer has been aggravated with Henderson's run as the Red Devils' No 1.

De Gea, who is United's top earner thanks to his staggering £375,000-a-week contract, will see his current deal expire in 2023.

According to The Daily Mail, the Spain international has been linked with a return to Atletico Madrid.

Legendary former United boss Sir Alex Ferguson signed De Gea from Atletico in 2011 in a £18.9m deal.

The former Atletico star has also been linked with Real Madrid, who almost signed De Gea in 2015.

Paris Saint-Germain are also reportedly linked with De Gea as the United 'keeper carries a £40m price tag.

De Gea was considered as one of the best 'keepers in the world as he secured the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award on four occasions in his career.

But the United star's form in recent seasons has waned and Henderson's challenge for the No 1 spot could spark the end of his Old Trafford career.

Solskjaer has dismissed speculation around De Gea as he explained why Henderson started ahead of him in the Brighton win.

The 48-year-old Norwegian told BT Sport: "I've got two very, very good goalkeepers.

"Two No 1s, simple as. Two No 1s and that's it."
