His performance against Barcelona in the Champions League underlined the clubs pursuit of Dybala which included bagging a brace in the first leg of their quarter-final clash.

Though Dybala put those reports to bed by penning a brand spanking lucrative contract. Dybala inked a five-year deal which keeps him at the club until 2022.

But, in spite of that, Alves has ultimately urged Dybala to leave Italy if he wants to maximize his talents.

"We have talked and I told him that one day he will have to leave to improve," Alves told Brazilian TV Esporte Interativo via The Independent.

Alves made the switch to Turin following a trophy laden career at Barcelona, and showed his former club what they're missing by delivering from the flanks.

Enjoying a season with Dybala in the process. He continues by hyping up the 23-year-old before revealing the conversations they have while saying he will have to leave the Italian champions.

"He is a jewel that will blossom. We talked so many times about it and I said one day, I don't know when, that he will have to leave Juventus if he is to improve even more."
