Cristiano Ronaldo Is Only The Ninth Most Valuable Player In Serie A According To Study

Cristiano Ronaldo is only the ninth most valuable player in Serie A according to information from Transfer Markt.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has scored 55 goals in the Italian top flight since making a £100 million switch to Juventus from Real Madrid in 2018.

But Ronaldo will soon be 36 and his market value has dropped significantly in the latest list from Transfer Markt.

The Portuguese superstar sits in ninth position with a market value of £54 million - the same figure given to teammate Arthur Melo, AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and Inter Milan defender Stefan De Vrij.

Ronaldo is the third highest-ranked Juventus player, with Paulo Dybala and Matthijs de Ligt in second and third position having been valued at £72 million and £63 million.

But it's Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku who has the highest market value of all players in Serie A. The Belgian is valued at £76 million after revitalising himself at the San Siro.

Following his move from Manchester United last term, has notched a total of 41 goals in 57 appearances for the Nerazzurri and is now among the top strikers in world football after a trying period.

Lukaku has formed a productive partnership with Lautaro Martinez, who occupies fourth spot with a market value of £63 million.

Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly, who was heavily linked with a big-money move to Manchester City in the summer, completes the top five having been valued at £58.50 million.
