Cristiano Ronaldo Is At Fault For His New Contract Being Signed
Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Gareth Bale have all recently signed new deals with Real Madrid but so far we're still waiting on Cristiano Ronaldo to pen his new deal. It's not the club who are messing about but Ronaldo.
You'd have thought that one of the best two players in the world could pretty much name the deal he wants and get it but that's not the case. In fact the wage that the Portuguese star wants have already been met and made ready to sign. So why the delay?
According to The Mirror, the former Manchester United winger is demanding a five year deal that the club are yet to agree on. The two parties have been in agreement on wages for some time, starting at a £18.5 million basic!
However the 31 year old is pushing for a five year deal. Having said he'd like to finish his career with Los Blancos it's perhaps not too much of a surprise but if he does make it to 36 at the Bernabeu there's no guarantee he'll be worth that kind of money any longer.
According to the report the directors at the La Liga club only want CR7 to get a four year deal at most and with age, more injuries and poorer form this season in play it's no real surprise.
Surely there's no way Ronaldo won't eventually sign?
