'No Pen No Impact' - Brutal Compilation Shows How Ineffective Bruno Fernandes Was Against Crystal Palace

Bruno Fernandes was not at the races as Manchester United drew 0-0 for the third game running.

A compilation of Bruno Fernandes' performance against Crystal Palace last night shows just how below par the Portugal international was.

United could only manage a second consecutive 0-0 draw in London, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side incredibly sluggish and mustering just one shot on target in the game.

And Fernandes, United's main man, was particularly poor at Selhurst Park. The former Sporting CP man was not his usual creative self and gave the ball away more times than any other player in the first half.

Cutting a frustrated figure throughout, Fernandes' touch and passing was off. And he was also guilty of giving away a number of cheap fouls whenever he lost the ball.

@CF_Comps put together a series of clips from Fernandes' display with the caption 'No Pen No Impact'.

Fernandes has 15 goals and 10 assists in 27 Premier League appearances in this season but whenever he has had an off day, United have looked out of sorts and lacking a spark.

He wasn't at the races against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday either.

Fernandes created just one chance in the game, didn't manage a single shot on target or take-on and lost possession on 20 occasions - the most of any player involved in the game.

In seven Premier League games against the so-called "big six" this season , he has scored just once and failed to register an assist - that goal coming from the spot in a 6-1 thrashing at the hands of Spurs.

Former Chelsea player Jason Cundy believes United are too reliant on Fernandes and the showing at Palace highlighted it.

Speaking to United fan Andy Goldstein on talkSPORT, Cundy said: "You are Bruno FC! Without Bruno, you wouldn't be in the top six. No Bruno, no party, and tonight shows it.

"You are so reliant on Bruno and when he plays badly the whole team does. Did Bruno play well tonight? No, so Man United didn't play well.

"Look at the stats - when Bruno doesn't score, when Bruno doesn't assist, Man United are bang average!

"Someone else has got to put a shift in. You look at Bruno's body language... they are so over reliant on him."
