The eight-time Ballon d'Or winner joined the new soccer franchise last summer with the MLS season already well underway.

Although Messi made a blistering start to life across the Atlantic and inspired Miami to win the inaugural Leagues Cup, the 36-year-old was unable to prevent his side missing out of the MLS post-season playoffs.
Messi's best-friend and former Barcelona teammate Luis Suarez was brought in last month to boost Miami's MLS title bid, and now David Beckham's franchise have added another famous name to Messi's supporting cast.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Inter Miami have completed the signing of Federico Redondo from Argentinos Juniors.

After making a verbal agreement with the Argentine club last week, Miami have formally agreed to pay an €8 million (£6.8m) package for the 21-year-old defensive midfielder, including a 15 per cent sell on clause.
The move will see Messi link up with the son of Fernando Redondo, a club legend of Messi's great nemesis, Real Madrid.
Redondo, now 54, spent six seasons at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu between 1994 and 2000, in which time he made 228 appearances.

The defensive midfielder won two La Liga titles and two Champions League crowns with Real Madrid at a time when Barcelona were enduring a tough period.
The Argentina star made a controversial move to AC Milan in 2000, but made just 33 appearances over four years after suffering a serious knee injury shortly after arriving at the San Siro. He retired in 2004.
Federico followed in his father's footsteps, returning to Argentina at a young age to join the youth set up at Argentinos Juniors and take up the same position on the field.
