He made 28 league appearances last season, scoring two goals. He has already bettered that tally this term, netting on three occasions in 11 matches.
Primarily a left winger, it is claimed that Pinyaev has already had trials at United, which took place prior to the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020.
The 18-year-old became the youngest ever player to represent Russia's U16 side, making his debut at 13 years and nine months of age.
He carried that trend into senior international football, debuting for the national team in November - the youngest player to be capped by Russia at senior level, at 18 years and 15 days.

Football website Football Talent Scout profiled the right-footed youngster in 2020, comparing him to Napoli legend Dries Mertens.

Should United complete a deal for the 18-year-old, it will be interesting to see how he develops at Old Trafford.
