Europa League inadvertently troll Man United over new boy Casemiro, it's got fans talking

Europa League's official Twitter account inadvertently mocked Manchester United over their new signing Casemiro.

Man United have officially completed the transfer of Casemiro, having shelled out £70 million.

He's given his first interview since joining the Old Trafford outfit, while pictures of him in the Man United kit have been shared online ahead of his potential debut on Saturday.

The official Twitter account of the Europa League got their hands on the picture of Casemiro in a Man United shirt and shared a tweet to their 10 million followers.

They uploaded an image of the Man United new boy, accompanied with the caption: "Casemiro's new threads."

Now, the post wasn't intended to taunt Man United - but fans online felt it was a sly dig.

One tweeted: "Europa League admin trolling again!"

A second wrote: "Crazy Europa League is tweeting Casemiro."

A third added: "Can you leave us alone, please?"

Another commented: "Utd have a 5x UCL winner being tweeted by EUROPA LEAGUE."

Of course, Man United will feature in this season's Europa League after failing to qualify for the Champions League last season.

They finished in sixth place in the table, 13 points adrift of fourth-placed Tottenham.

Casemiro, meanwhile, is available to make his Man United debut when they resume their Premier League campaign on Saturday against Southampton.
