Fabinho's wife Rebeca Tavares has reacted to a report linking the Brazilian midfielder with a move away from Anfield.

Fabinho, 29, has played a key role in Liverpool's success in recent years under Jurgen Klopp.

The Brazil international has scored 11 goals in 191 games for the club since joining in a £39m move from French club Monaco in 2018.

He has won numerous trophies during his time at Anfield, including the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and EFL Cup.

However, he has come under scrutiny this season after several disappointing performances, with Liverpool currently sixth in the Premier League - seven points off the top four.

'Fabinho's future in doubt'

Fabinho remains under contract with Liverpool in 2026 but it has been claimed that the midfielder is now at risk of being sold.

"Fabinho's long-term future at Liverpool is in some doubt but insiders at Anfield expect no decision until the end of the season," journalist Dean Jones wrote for GiveMeSport.

It comes amid reports that Liverpool are looking to sign another midfielder in England international Jude Bellingham.

However, it is believed that the Premier League club are hoping to sign Bellingham as a teammate for Fabinho, rather than a replacement.

Fabinho's wife reacts to the report

Fabinho's wife Tavares has brushed off suggestions her husband could be set to leave Anfield.

She simply responded to a screenshot of the report with a crying-laughing emoji on Instagram.

Speaking last month, Klopp gave his full backing to Fabinho and explained why he had continued to play the midfielder despite his loss of form.

"In a long career, players have 'dips' in performance, that's completely normal," said Klopp.

"Usually you sort that by not playing that often, stuff like this, but because of our situation, Fab had to play through everything.

"You get through it, and at one point you are back to yourself, that's how it is.

"If we have other options, which we use more often than in other seasons, then we use that to give him the chance to recover completely from the last game or whatever."
