Lionel Messi Completely Destroyed Estonia's Press With A Genius Pass, His Football IQ Is Something Else

Lionel Messi produced a superb cross-field pass.

Lionel Messi's football IQ is off the charts as he showcased his genius in Argentina's thrashing of Estonia.

Messi scored all FIVE goals in his side's big win over Estonia last weekend.

He bagged a first half brace before netting three times in the second half in a colossal performance on the international stage

But it wasn't just his goal-scoring exploits that got fans purring over his masterclass.

The 34-year-old completely nullified Estonia's press with a glorious cross-field pass to Nicolas Tagliafico.

During an Argentina throw in, Messi made himself available and had a quick glance over to the other side of the pitch and executed a sensational volleyed pass.

He picked out his left-back, leaving Estonia players rushing back to defend the attack.

Fans online loved Messi's vision and ability to pull off the pass.

One tweeted: "This alone should get him another Ballon d'Or."

A second wrote: "Messi makes complex passes seem simple."

A third added: "That one touch volley with such accuracies is much harder than what the average Twitter user thinks lol."

A fourth commented: "A look 4 seconds before that pass, unbelievable man."

Messi starred in Argentina's 3-0 win over Italy last week.

He created two goals in the Finalissima as he claimed another international trophy.

The Paris Saint-Germain superstar then scored five goals against Estonia in a friendly match.

He appears to be fully focused and hungry as Argentina look in fine form ahead of the 2022 World Cup.

Messi spoke of his team's preparation for the World Cup following their back-to-back wins over Italy and Estonia.

On Instagram, he wrote: "We could not close the season better. We won the Finalissima and today we added more minutes preparing for the World Cup.

"Thanks again to everyone who came to the field and to those who follow us from a distance. We’re going to rest for a few days and we’ll be back very soon."
