Wayne Rooney will have to remember which changing rooms to go into on Sunday afternoon as he returns to Old Trafford for Everton. If he scores Ryan Giggs has some advice about how the former player should react.

For 13 years, as man and boy as the saying goes, Wayne Rooney was a Manchester United player. He has always been synonymous with Everton but played far more of his career with the Red Devils.

He became the club captain and latterly their all time top goalscorer, beating Sir Bobby Charlton's record, and there wasn't a single title that he didn't win in his time at Old Trafford.

In the summer he left and moved back to Goodison Park. It's been a mixed bag for Rooney back with the Toffees and this weekend he returns to his old stomping ground as Ronald Koeman's team take on United on Sunday afternoon.

Of course that means there's every chance 'Wazza' could score against his former team, some would say it's all but inevitable, so if it does happen will the 31 year old refuse to celebrate as seems to be the trend or go crazy? Former United teammate Ryan Giggs lent his advice on Sky Sports saying:

"If you score a goal, you hear players talk about, you sort of lose yourself and I don't think we should get away from that. Show respect, don't go over the top, but if you score a goal then celebrate. I think fans recognise that.

"Knowing Wayne, I'm sure he'll be nervous, but relishing the chance as well and he'll want to score because that's his job."

Rooney weirdly has a mixed sitting with United fans as his two rejected transfer requests made him unpopular at times but Giggs is expecting his former teammate to get a rousing reception adding, "He'll get a great reception from the United fans because he was such a great player for United in such a successful era as well.

"I'm sure he'll be looking forward to it and the United fans will be looking forward to seeing how he does as well, hoping he doesn't score and Wayne the opposite, hoping he does score."
