Mbappe could leave PSG in January.

Kylian Mbappe’s future at Paris Saint Germain is up in the air after reports claimed that the Frenchman wants to quit the Parc des Princes in the January transfer window.

Mbappe made a sensational u-turn in the summer to reject a chance to move to Real Madrid in order to sign a contract extension until the summer of 2025 with the Ligue 1 champions.

However, according to Spanish news outlet Marca, the relationship between the club and the player has completely collapsed, as a result, it is believed that Mbappe has asked to leave PSG in January.

As we are a few months away from the start of the transfer window, we look at five clubs that could sign the French superstar.

1.Real Madrid

The obvious choice will of course be Real Madrid as he has been linked with the Spanish giants since his Monaco days.

However, after what happened in the summer, Madrid were left hurt and angered by Mbappe’s last-minute decision to reject a move to the Spanish capital.

Despite that, if a chance to sign Mbappe pops up again, it is likely that Madrid will still be interested.

2.Liverpool

Mbappe himself previously spoke about speculations linking him with Jurgen Klopp’s Reds, he claimed that his mother is a Liverpool fan.

It would be a huge signing not just for Liverpool but also the Premier League if one of football’s biggest stars were to join English football.

However, Liverpool will probably shy away from the chance to sign him due to the sheer financial cost the Frenchman carries, Mbappe himself could well be turned off by the Reds’ worrying early season form also.

3.Bayern Munich

Bayern are the undisputed kings of Germany and will always be a huge attraction for big players looking to find a new club.

The Bavarian giants have won ten Bundesliga titles in a row but lost Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona in the summer, new signing Sadio Mane has been inconsistent.

Mbappe could be the man to kickstart Bayern’s season and give the Germans a huge chance at winning the Champions League.

4.Manchester United

The Old Trafford club will always be sniffing around the best talents in world football as United are still one of the biggest clubs despite their recent struggles.

The likes of Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Anthony Martial have been performing way below par in recent seasons, which could tempt United into trying to lure Mbappe to Manchester.

Extremely unlikely but it is still a possibility.

5.Chelsea

Chelsea are not shy when it comes to spending big and a chance to sign Mbappe could be too good to reject for Todd Boehly.

Graham Potter’s side are currently packed with tremendous attacking talents including the likes of Kai Havertz, Raheem Sterling and Mason Mount.

Mbappe’s cost should not be a problem either as Chelsea are always amongst the highest spenders in world football.

Will Mbappe leave PSG in January? Only time will tell.
