Juventus Star Says Cristiano Ronaldo Would Criticise His Diet

Juventus Star Says Cristiano Ronaldo Would Criticise His Diet

Ronaldo has always held his teammates to his high standards, so it's no wonder he wasn't happy with some people's choice of diet.

Cristiano Ronaldo is well known for looking after his own body to perfection, and the Manchester United forward also wants to look after his teammates bodies too.

Very few people wouldn't turn their nose up at the chance to swap their body with that of Ronaldo, heck most people don't manage to attract 670,000 people to watch them shower!

At 37-years-old the United forward still looks like he was chiseled out of stone and continues to defy his age, which is generally old for a professional athlete.

It's no surprise really when you take into consideration how strict his diet is, and it's clear he wants other people to eat as healthily as he does.

His former teammate from his time at Juventus, midfielder Arthur Melo, explained recently that the five time Ballon d'Or winner didn't like what he saw on fellow players' plates.

"We used to sit together at the table," the Brazil midfielder told TNT Sport, "And sometimes he would look at our plates and say, ‘This is not what you should be eating.'"

Whilst the rest of the Old Lady squad might not be used to one of their teammates judging them for what's on their plate, those closest to Ronaldo will certainly know the feeling.

Picking up his Player of the Century award in 2020, during an awards ceremony put on by his agent Jorge Mendes, the all time men's top goalscorer revealed how much his son's diet annoys him.

The fact that Cristiano Jr likes to drink Coca-cola and Fanta, and eat fries, really seems to get under the skin of his dad, which probably only makes him more likely to do it.

"I'm hard with him sometimes because he drinks Coca-Cola and Fanta sometimes and I'm pissed with him," Ronaldo said at the time.

"I fight with him when he eats chips and fries and everything, he knows I don't like it.

"Even my small kids, when they eat chocolate they always look to me and, you know, we have to be strong."

We can't know whether or not Ronaldo is still checking out his fellow teammates' diets now he's moved back to Manchester United.

However, maybe Harry Maguire smacked him in the face on Tuesday night after the forward told him to put down a pie or something ahead of the Champions League exit at the hands of Atletico Madrid...
