Ivan Toney Answers 'Nowhere Exciting' When Asked Where He Plays In Viral TikTok Video

The clip has gone viral.

A conversation between a fan and Brentford player Ivan Toney has gone viral in recent hours.

In a clip posted to TikTok by user @callmetoksy, the 26-year-old forward can be heard chatting about his favourite cryptocurrency before the fan, clearly oblivious to who he was talking to, asks what he does for a living.

Toney proceeds to tell the supporter that he is a professional footballer. The fan then asks his name and who he plays for. "Nowhere exciting," Toney laughs. Here is that video.

Back in January, Toney issued an apology to Brentford fans, the club and his manager after a video of him shouting 'f**k Brentford' did the rounds on social media.

The video showed the 26-year-old forward with a woman, and numerous others in the background, who each shouted 'f**k Brentford' on more than one occasion.

The Premier League proceeded to launch an investigation following the incident.

Former Newcastle United man Toney went on to apologise for the incident and the 'unacceptable' language he used.

"I am aware of a video that was published on social media … in it I used language that was unacceptable," he said in a statement on social media.

"The video was cut short and edited, but I have to accept the impact this has had and I realise I should not have put myself in that position.

"I have explained to the gaffer what happened and apologised to him but I also want to apologise to all Brentford fans.

"I respect the way you all support the team and I have to say how much I love playing for the club and for you.

"I’ll be back at training next week, working hard to score more goals to win us more games for the rest of the season."

The 26-year-old, who joined the Premier League newcomers from Peterborough in August 2020, has netted 13 goals in all competitions this season after breaking the record for most goals scored in a Championship campaign.

His recent form has naturally brought interest from a number of rival clubs.

And Brentford boss Thomas Frank has backed Toney to receive a call-up to the England squad in the near future.

“I think there is very big competition in the England squad. I really like Ivan as a player and I think especially the last few games he’s played, he’s been fantastic,” Frank said.

“I think if he continues at this level he will get the call-up sooner rather than later.

“It’s about that consistency in his performances that will let him get that call-up, but I would say the competition is quite big.

“If Ivan is competing against another striker who is on a similar level, maybe his ability on penalties maybe just edges it for him to get picked for the squad.”

Thoughts on the latest video involving Ivan Toney that has recently emerged online?
