Jose Mourinho picked Manchester United's youngest starting XI in the Premier League era and it paid instant dividends as young Josh Harrop scored just 15 minutes into his debut at Old Trafford.
United and Mourinho really haven't cared all too much about the league this season and really would have liked anything other than having to play their last day of the league just three days before their important Europa League final.
So make his point well known the former Chelsea manager played a very young side with Wayne Rooney being clearly the oldest player in the starting line up, with Phil Jones five years his junior the second oldest player.

And the decision seemed to pay off very early in the game. With just 15 minutes on the clock one of the 12 academy players in the squad put United 1-0 up in the game and it was a brilliant solo strike from Harrop:
It's been quite the week for Harrop. The 21 year old midfielder, from Stockport, scored a hat-trick for Manchester United's under 23s at the beginning of the week before his debut goal.

After setting up the first goal Paul Pogba then added United's second. The potential win will of course mean nothing for the Red Devils as they can only finish sixth, whether they win 10-0 or lost 2-10.
Perhaps young United players doing well will make Mourinho rethink his plans when it comes to playing young players.
There's still 16 year old Angel Gomes on the bench if Jose really wants to go extreme.
