When Barcelona sold Neymar in the summer there weren't too many options out there to replace him, how do you replace one of the world's best. Paulo Dybala proved why he was one of the names mentioned.

Of course Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are the best two footballers on the planet, I'll let you decide amongst yourselves the order, but after those two there's a queue of players battling for the next spot.

Amongst them are the likes of Neymar, Luis Suarez, Gareth Bale, Eden Hazard, Antoine Griezmann, Luka Modric, Paul Pogba, Harry Kane, Sergio Aguero and plenty of others, on their day anyone of them can make an argument to being number three.

One of those names is Paulo Dybala. The 23 year old is now in his third season with Juventus and has been increasingly impressive as they've won the last two Serie A titles and got to the Champions League final last season.

This afternoon he scored his sixth goal of the season and 50th for Juventus is just his 100th appearance with an absolute beauty, curling the ball into the net with a first time shot from 25 yards:

Dybala's goal means he's scored in all four of Juventus' Serie A games this season, making him the first player to do so for the Old Lady, reinforcing his importance to Max Allegri's team.

Last season he bagged 11 goals in 31 league games and the season before it was 19 in 34 as Juve won the league both years, this season he already look likely to beat that record.

After Neymar departed Barcelona in the summer for £198 million there was talk of the Catalans going after Dybala to replace him but Juve were never interested in selling him and it might have cost them even more than eventual replacement Ousmane Dembele did.

At just 23 there's a lot more to come from Dybala, and that's a scary prospect!
