The Jose Mourinho era at Manchester United is well and truly underway, and Jesse Lingard got things up and running in the perfect fashion after scoring a sublime goal in the Community Shield match against Leicester City.
As winners of the Premier League and FA Cup, both teams got the English season into full flow at Wembley this afternoon, with Mourinho coming up against old foe Claudio Ranieri once again.
But after a slow start to proceedings, there was no doubting the highlight of the first half, with Lingard evading at least four challenges to open the scoring in spectacular fashion.

Playing in his first competitive match since scoring the winning goal in the FA Cup final, Lingard signalled his intention to be a first-choice player under Mourinho, and slalomed his way through the Foxes defence:
