Zlatan Ibrahimovic has brought up the latest milestone in his incredible career, by scoring the 500th club goal during AC Milan's game vs Crotone.

He might be 39-years-old but Zlatan is currently in one of the best periods during a career that has been full of incredible moments.

The former PSG striker returned to Serie A last January, after time in the MLS, and had scored 22 goals in 28 league appearances in that time, ahead of Sunday's game.

Milan had the chance to go back above rivals Inter Milan and top of the table on the weekend and Ibra sent them on their way after just 30 minutes, bringing up his 500th league goal.

Zlatan, who was previously PSG's all time top scorer before the record was taken from him by Edinson Cavani, is in very illustrious company.

Cristiano Ronaldo, football's all time top scorer, and six time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi are the only other two current mens footballers to have at least 500 club goals.

The goal on Sunday is his 13th of the season in the league and means only Ronaldo and Romelu Lukaku have bagged more times than him in the campaign.

Ibra's 13 have come in just 11 appearances whilst the other two have played 17 and 20 games respectively.

Ibra recently clashed with Lukaku during a Coppa Italia quarter final between the two San Siro based rivals, with the Swede sent off later in the game for a second yellow card.

The Rossoneri forward was heard calling his opponent a "little donkey" and telling him to "call your mother and do your voodoo s**t," leading to questions of racism.

The insult was more likely based on something Everton major shareholder Farhad Moshiri said in 2018 but the former Ajax forward has answered questions about the racism.
