Kieran Tierney scored a brilliant solo goal in the snow at the Hawthorns, as Arsenal took the lead against West Brom.

The Gunners form this season has seen them closer to the relegation zone than they'd ever have wanted, with even Mikel Arteta admitting their three games over the Christmas games were extremely important.

Wins over Chelsea and Brighton had made things easier for the Gunners but they still would have wanted to beat Big Sam's West Brom, after the new manager took a dig at the London side's position recently.

It took just 22 minutes for the Gunners to take the lead. With Tierney scoring a goal worthy of any highlights reel.

He beat Darnell Furlong on the left, then stopped, cut in to beat him again, and unleashed a cracking shot past Sam Johnstone.

Big Sam's side got an unlikely point against Premier League champions Liverpool the day after Boxing Day, after losing his first game in charge against Aston Villa.

However if the former Bolton Wanderers boss thought his team might battle to another point against a member of the 'Big Six' his chances were soon all but over.

Arteta's side doubled their lead just six minutes later, with a move of pure class that any Arsene Wenger side would have been happy with.

Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith-Rowe and Alexandre Lacazette combined brilliantly with pace and one touch passing to put Saka through on goal and the England international scored from close range.

With goals as good as the two on Saturday night, maybe Arsenal can start looking up the league in 2021 instead of worrying who is below them!
