N'Golo Kante Receives Huge Upgrade On FIFA 18

EA Sports have released the latest batch of ratings in the top 100 players on FIFA 18, and it sees N'Golo Kante rewarded for his fine form with a huge upgrade.

A few days back EA kicked off the countdown with numbers 100-81, which saw some Liverpool fans incensed that Sadio Mane was rated lower than Henrikh Mkhitaryan's, before numbers 80-61 and then 60-41 were released as we got well into the 86-rated players and scratched the surface with those rated 87 in the upcoming game.

Now 40-31 have been revealed, with Kante going up a staggering six ratings from the rating he was handed going into 2016/17. As per the latest ratings information on the official EA Sports site, Kante, now 87-rated, is the 35th best player in this year's game, one place above his France midfield partner Paul Pogba, who has been downgraded by one rating to be on the same level as his compatriot.

Kante started out as an 81-rated centre midfielder but his imperious form throughout Chelsea's title-winning campaign led to a winter upgrade to 83 - and a series of special cards - the highest of were two filthy 92-rated cards, on FIFA 17.

Having had a card that comprised of 80 pace, 77 dribbling, 66 shooting, 80 defending and 83 physical when FIFA 17 was released, the PFA Player of the Year now boasts 81 pace, 81 defending and 84 physical. It's only a small improvement, but that upgrade of six ratings will surely see Kante's stock rise, and his price soar to new heights, when the game comes out later this month.
