The mood around the Emirates stadium has been sour for some time, now, with Arsenal fans protesting against Arsene Wenger's management with increasing regularity and performances in both the Premier League and Europe continuing to disappoint.
In the past couple of weeks the Gunners have slipped out of the Premier League top four after a 3-1 defeat by Liverpool at Anfield, which was sandwiched between two 5-1 batterings at the hands of Bayern Munich.

On top of this, Alexis Sanchez is at odds with Wenger and several of his teammates and is likely to leave in the Summer, as is Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and possibly Mesut Ozil.
Oh, and Piers Morgan is still being an enormous, gammon faced throbber on Twitter. Although his very public meltdown over Arsenal's woes is admittedly very, very satisfying.
But even in victory, there's still conflict, as club captain Per Mertesacker found out after a fan pranked him following the 5-0 FA Cup quarter-final victory over Lincoln City, at the weekend.

Why you'd decide to intentionally piss off your club captain, who has had nothing to do with your club's recent failings, is beyond us, and the World Cup winning defender certainly didn't appreciate falling for such a smart arse stunt.
Mertesacker is yet to play for the Gunners, this season after suffering an injury during a pre-season friendly against Lens.
The initial diagnosis predicted a December return for the former Werder Bremen man, but three months later and he's still yet to play a minute of action.
