'Frozen' penalty goes viral, we've never seen anything like it before

Take a bow, Jardel.

An outrageous 'frozen' penalty has gone viral and we've genuinely never seen anything like it before. Check it out below:

Introducing Jardel who took one of the coldest penalties you'll ever see in football.

The Feirense player converted his spot-kick in sublime fashion as he showed off his extremely unconventional technique.

The forward stood over the ball and raised his right foot for a good eight seconds before striking the ball into the back of the net.

Needless to say, Jardel's extravagant penalty sent social media wild.

One Twitter user wrote: "Definitely the one of weirdest penalties you’ll ever see."

A second tweeted: "Why does it seem that the video is paused except for the number 9 and the rival player."

A third joked: "It is a FIFA bug without a doubt."

Jardel's 'frozen' approach is truly one of a kind, but bares resemblance to Aritz Aduriz's technique.

The former Athletic Bilbao player once scored a penalty using a technique that you'd see on a five-a-side pitch.

He'd take a one-step run up before striking the ball.
