Man United youngster Hannibal Mejbri appears to mock Mohamed Salah during Tunisia vs Egypt

Mo Salah was in action as Egypt took on Tunisia

Manchester United youngster Hannibal Mejbri appeared to mock Mohamed Salah during Tunisia’s clash against Egypt.

On Tuesday, Tunisia and Egypt faced off in a friendly match to round off their international break fixtures.

Tunisia came out 3-1 winners thanks to goals from Aissa Laidouni, Hamza Rafia and an own goal by Hamdi Fathi. Omar Kamal was the scorer for Egypt.

United youngster Hannibal was sent on with just over 10 minutes left to play.

During the celebration of Rafia’s goal in the 95th minute, Hannibal and his teammates appeared to mock Salah by recreating his famous celebration.

According to the Daily Express, the camera caught Salah’s reaction. The Liverpool talisman was reportedly spotted smirking as he watched on.

This was not the first time Hannibal has ruffled the feathers of Liverpool stars after his cameo at Anfield back in 2022.

Liverpool were rampant on the night as they thrashed a sorry United side 4-0.

However, Hannibal drew praise from former United defender Gary Neville after he smashed into the likes of Jordan Henderson and Naby Keita during his cameo.

Neville said at the time: “To be fair, at least the kid’s showing a bit of something. Honestly, it takes a young kid to come on and show the rest of them how to sprint to the ball and put a challenge in.

“I’m actually proud of him. Maybe he doesn’t like the idea of Liverpool players passing round him. I wish the rest of them were the same.”

Hannibal will be hoping to get more opportunities to impress Erik ten Hag this season as United look to challenge for all four trophies. Last season, he was sent out to Championship side Birmingham City on loan, where he made 41 appearances.

The Red Devils will be back in Premier League action this weekend as they host Brighton and Hove Albion at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
