Jurgen Klopp makes 'weird' admission about Liverpool that has completely stunned fans of the club

Jurgen Klopp will be leaving Liverpool at the end of the 23/24 season.

Fans have been left baffled by Jurgen Klopp’s ‘weird’ admission about Liverpool ahead of his final match in charge of the club.

After nearly nine years in charge, Klopp revealed in January that he would leave stepping down as Liverpool manager when the 23/24 season draws to a close.

During his time at the helm, Liverpool fans went from doubters to believers as Klopp led his team to the Champions League, Premier League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, FA Cup, FA Community Shield and two Carabao Cups.

Klopp’s time as Liverpool manager will end this weekend when his men welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers to Anfield on Sunday.

Speaking to The Anfield Wrap ahead of this weekend, via Anfield Edition, Klopp spoke about his time living in the city.

He said: “I only visited the city [Liverpool] 4 or 5 times. On a truck twice.”

The two times on the truck Klopp mentioned came in 2019 after Liverpool’s Champions League triumph and then in 2022 when they celebrated winning both the FA Cup and Carabao Cup.

Reacting to Klopp’s comment on social media, one fan said: “That’s kinda weird to think about when he’s been here for 9 years.”

Another tweeted: “You really think he’s gonna try walk round Liverpool? He’s not even gonna be able to move.”

A third fan added: “He was at castle street for his key to the city day. Must of only gone for parties with the club etc.”

Klopp could’ve gone out at the highest of highs when Liverpool were gunning for all four trophies back in March, having already sealed the Carabao Cup.

However, a poor run of form between March and April meant they were knocked out of the FA Cup and the UEFA Europa League within the space of two weeks.

In addition, they suffered defeats against Crystal Palace and fierce rivals Everton last month which all but ended their quest for the Premier League title.

Despite the disappointment, Klopp will leave English football as one of Liverpool and the Premier League’s greatest-ever managers.
