Chelsea fans are furious after seeing what Jurgen Klopp had to say about "London clubs" and their owners.

The departing Liverpool boss had an emotional farewell event at the M&S Bank Arena on Tuesday night, taking part in a Q&A hosted by John Bishop.

Thousands of Liverpool fans piled in for the special show, where Klopp was on fine form on a number of topics.

The German name-dropped Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham and Erling Haaland as dream signings he would have made if Liverpool had an unlimited transfer budget.

He also referenced Manchester City's alleged 115 charges as when asked about the possibility of the Blues being stripped of Premier League, he replied: "If you organise a bus parade, I am in! How long it takes, I don't care."

But Klopp also riled up Chelsea fans as he discussed the safe and supportive structure he experienced during his nine years at Liverpool.

He then compared it to what has happened at "London clubs", appearing to take a dig at the lack of stability at Chelsea and the owners constantly chopping and changing managers.

He said: "We should be really happy that we have these owners and not guys who bought London clubs and other stuff. I wouldn’t have survived a year at Liverpool (with them in charge). ‘Great development but not good enough, sack him!’ A year later: ‘Sack him’.

"Then finally they play football where people think they might be back and they sack the manager anyway. People always think the grass is greener but we have owners who really feel responsible for the club and work really hard as well to be successful. I felt supported. We did it as good as we could have done and I’m fine with it.”

Chelsea fans weren't fond of the comments, with one reacting: "No wonder he bottled the trophy because he was too busy paying attention to the London clubs.

Another fumed: "Yeah one 1 Premier League in 9 years he’s lucky Liverpool isn’t an ambitious club."

A third commented: "Been in the Prem for 9 years and won only 1 League title yet you speak like you are Pep Guardiola."

A fourth added: "All that time yet u won near the same amount of major trophies as we did in that period."

Another wrote: "We got the same amount of league titles and ucl trophies as them in our banter era."
