It's well known that Gianluigi Buffon is a much-loved veteran of football - but this crazy fact really goes to show just how much of a seasoned player he is.
It's sad that Buffon is not involved in the World Cup this time around. Something just feels a bit missing without his or the Italians' involvement in this year's tournament.

At least the goalkeeper will be hitting our TV screens by playing in the Champions League again next season.
Indeed, Buffon has become a favourite for many - probably because of the extraordinary length of time he's been playing.
And this fact sums it up perfectly. It's a true reflection of just how long Buffon has been involved.
Buffon made his debut in 1995 against George Weah & AC Milan. Today, 23 years later, he is teammates with George's son Timothy Weah...INSANE!

At AC Milan, when Buffon made his debut, George Weah was playing for the side - and now, the legendary goalkeeper is playing for Paris Saint-Germain with George's son, Timothy Weah, as his teammate.
It's pretty unbelievable: Timothy is 18-years-old while his new teammate, Buffon, is 40-years-old, 22 years his senior.
Weah enjoyed a decent youth career in the United States - but given the striker's great talent, it made sense for him to make the move to Europe to really forge a name for himself, perhaps remind the world of just how brilliantly talented the Weah family are.
As for Buffon, it felt as though it was an end of an era when he announced he would be leaving Juventus.

PSG snapped him up on a year's contract, with an option of another year.
The feeling is that he will retire at the club - and when that happens, football will have to start getting over the fact that it has lost its greatest ever goalkeeper.
