Manchester United's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is reportedly refusing to sell these four names, as he feels they are integral to the future of the club.

Woodward is thoroughly concerned with the long-term future of Man United, while Jose Mourinho wants success in the present. This has been the source of the issues for both individuals.

According to the Telegraph, these four players that Woodward considers "central to United's future."

They are: Anthony Martial, Luke Shaw, Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard.

Shaw and Martial have had their issues with the manager, but it's possible that things can improve.

The report goes on to say: "Martial, along with Luke Shaw, Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard, is considered to be central to United's future by Woodward and his allies and they were unwilling to entertain the idea of selling [them]."

Manchester United won their opening game against Leicester City, but then lost games to Brighton and then Tottenham Hotspur.

It's fair to say that a mini-crisis has ensued at the club, with the future of Mourinho thrown in doubt.
