Chelsea and France midfielder N'Golo Kante has given the most typical 'Kante' response when asked about his perfect travel destination.
The 30-year-old is famed for his unassuming, down-to-earth nature (to the point where he humbly claims his nice-guy image is overpraised). But it even extends to Kante's holiday preferences.
Brilliantly, when asked by Chelsea's new training kit sponsors, Trivago, where he likes to go on a summer holiday away from football Kante replied: "Sometimes I just stay at home only and I'm happy."
N'Golo Kante on what he likes to do on his summer break away from football:

A superbly simple and honest Kante response (if perhaps not the ideal answer that hotel and travel giant Trivago were hoping to hear).

Kante isn't going to pick an exotic location just for the sake of it, however. The sensational defensive midfielder is unashamedly happy living a modest existence.
For years, there was the familiar sight of him driving a Mini Cooper (the car he bought when he first arrived at Leicester City in 2015) to training at Chelsea.
He's also to be found at the back of the pack when it comes to trophy celebrations, despite being an integral part of France's World Cup win, two Premier League title triumphs, the Blues' 2021 Champions League victory and more.
If the winner of the Ballon D'or doesn't stay at home during the summer then the whole thing is fixed. I'm sorry it had to be said https://t.co/82ouLEJKsM

Kante was man of the match in this season's Champions League final, having also been the key player in Chelsea's semi-final success against Real Madrid.
There have been calls for him to win the Ballon d'Or this year, as he's clearly the best in the world in his unshowy DMC position.
This summer, there's no chance for Kante to jet off on holiday - even if he wanted to - with France kicking off their Euro 2020 campaign against Germany on Tuesday night.
But even if the favourites add a European Championship to their world crown, expect Kante to celebrate with a nice staycation (and probably some shuttle runs in his back garden as a bonus treat).
