Carles Puyol has gone viral after he posted a tweet that paid respect to Real Madrid and asked why Barcelona has not won as many Champions League trophies.
The former player is a Barcelona legend, captaining the side during their halcyon days of Pep Guardiola, David Villa and Xavi.

After Real Madrid's Champions League triumph over Liverpool, where they beat the Reds 3-1 in Kiev, earning their fourth Champions League trophy in five years, Puyol took to social media to pay Los Blancos a huge compliment and also say that Barca 'must reflect on their priorities, meaning the southern Spain side should be doing better in Europe, especially as they're one the 'best Barcelona teams in history.'
"Congratulations Madridistas, four Champions Leagues in five seasons against one of the best Barcelona teams in history, we must reflect on our priorities," he tweeted.
Then a follower asked the Spaniard whether Barcelona should throw the league away and switch focus to the Champions League. Puyol replied: "The league can not be thrown away, but the cup must be played by those who do not play regularly, and be at the top of the Champions League.

"Having said that, I think Barça have had a great season. Visca Barca always."
Barca were inches away from going through their entire 2017/18 season unbeaten but a surprise loss to Levante at the tail end of the season crushed any chance of that happening.
But one Champions League title win in seven years for Barcelona isn't good enough, especially with their biggest rivals Real Madrid winning their fourth in five years, an astounding record by any measure.
