Paul Merson Makes Huge Blunder When Giving His Premier League Transfer Grades

Paul Merson Makes Huge Blunder When Giving His Premier League Transfer Grades

Never change, Merse.

Paul Merson has been at it again, this time completely forgetting - and perhaps not even knowing - that Nordin Amrabat had left Watford.

Via Sky Sports, Merse was grading every Premier League club's transfer business, but in the piece he talked about a player who actually left Watford some time ago. He said:

"I like Ben Foster, he's a top goalkeeper, but I really worry for Watford. I thought Nordin Amrabat was one of their best players last season, I thought he played well a lot of time. Gerard Deulofeu, one minute he's great and the next, he's not. He's a five or a nine - you never get that consistent seven every week. Foster will save them points, there's no question, but I think they're in a relegation battle"

The sentence about Amrabat has since been deleted, but that hasn't stopped many on social media to make their thoughts known about Merson's blunder.

Merson played for Arsenal and Aston Villa and enjoyed a good career marred only by his struggles with drink. For Gunners, he was known for scoring some superb goals, but as pundit, the London-born former player often gets criticised for his comments.
