MTV Cribs makes a triumphant return tonight in a series titled 'Footballers Stay Home', giving fans a sneak peak into the life of a footballer during the coronavirus lockdown.

The hit series has been around for 20 years and is beloved by fans for allowing access to the homes of superstars.

Among those to have signed up for the show are Arsenal duo David Luiz and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as well as Borussia Dortmund's Axel Witsel.

The first episode airs this evening at 8:30pm and will feature Manchester United's Jesse Lingard.

Otro Studios have produced the show and it will be shot with footage from the players themselves.

A team watch what is being filmed through the player's iPhone and a lead producer will be organising all the action.

Per Deadline, MTV International's Craig Orr expained: "MTV Cribs remains one of the most iconic shows in MTV's history and whilst fans are home missing sports and seeking fitness ideas, we've asked some of our footie favourites to shed light on their stay-at-home routines."

United midfielder Lingard has offered fans a glimpse into his home in the past and he explained he was a big fan of Cribs when growing up.

He said per the Evening Standard: "I've been a massive fan of MTV Cribs since I was a kid and so I'm really excited to be a part of this Footballers themed edition.

"I'm most looking forward to showing everyone how I've been keeping active and entertained during lockdown!"

One man that fans likely would have liked to see on the show is Manchester City defender Benjamin Mendy.

The Frenchman purchased a £4.8 million property in Cheshire back in 2018 from cricket legend Freddie Flintoff.

Mendy gave OTRO a tour of his home earlier this year and revealed he has a giant football pitch in it that he invites City players to come and play on.
