Manchester United under-23's captain Teden Mengi took to Instagram to criticise teammate Hannibal Mejbri after their 6-1 defeat to Chelsea earlier this month.
The reserve side lost 6-1 to Chelsea's league topping under-23's before Christmas, with two goals conceded in the first three minutes the start of a bad day at the office for the Red Devils.
More recently, Mejbri posted an image on Instagram with Chelsea's Pierre Ekwah, looking friendly with the opposition player.

This clearly angered Mengi, who commented: "The reason why we lost, too many friends and not enough enemies."
Mejbri replied: "It's good that you said WE," perhaps referring to the poor defending that a 6-1 scoreline insinuates - with Mengi a centre-back.
Mengi added: "It's a team sport not an individual one."
Fellow United youngster Aliou Traore, currently on loan at SM Caen spotted the interaction, commenting himself with some laughing emojis.

Many United fans may be happy to see their under-23's captain showing this mentality with his teammates, but there could be something to be said for doing it out of the public's eye.
The Red Devils aren't exactly taking the Premier League 2 by storm, currently lying in ninth position out of 13.
They are currently in the midst of a month-long break from the league, with the Chelsea defeat on 18 December their last match until 18 January against 11th-placed Leicester City.

Supporters may be hoping that the mentality from Mengi will mean that the team is aiming to improve in the new year.
Football fans certainly seem to support his comments, what do you think?
