Liverpool are looking to build on their brilliant success last season and are wasting no time in bolstering their squad.
Defensive-midfielder-but-also-sort-of-wing-back Fabinho had the shortest transfer saga since the term was conceptualised.
No longer had journalist Paul Joyce broke the news, that the Brazilian was dressed in Red, smiling for the camera, his new club confirming the £39 million move.
The Merseyside club acquired RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita last summer for a fee which could rise to £66 million, but he'll be with the side and playing his first game for the club next season, as a new player.
It'll surely be a dangerous attack for the Reds next season, somehow even stronger than last year. But the obvious area which Liverpool need to address is the defence, namely the goalkeeping position.
Right now, the Champions League runners-up have Simon Mignolet, Ádám Bogdán, Danny Ward and Loris Karius in their ranks.
Mignolet and Karius are the main two but they both have the same problem: brilliant talent but lacking in reliability; they both have a mistake in them.
Most famously, Karius, who dropped two clangers which cost Liverpool any chance of beating Real Madrid and claiming the Champions League trophy. The German has had death threats from a minority of idiotic Liverpool fans because of his dreadful performance.
Liverpool cannot compete for a title with the 24-year-old in goal and so they are reportedly looking at AS Roma's goalkeeper Alisson Becker for a 'record free'.
The news comes per the Daily Mail's Dominic King. Alisson emerged as one of the best performers for AS Roma last season. He is tipped as being one of the brightest goalkeeping sparks in the football world right now.
