Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk is currently recovering from a serious knee injury but makes it in defence.
He is partnered by Kurt Zouma, who has enjoyed a career resurgence at Chelsea after loan spells at Stoke City and Everton.
Anchoring the midfield are Kevin De Bruyne and Joshua Kimmich, with the latter instrumental in Bayern Munich's treble season.
But the most influential player was Robert Lewandowski who takes his rightful place up front.
Lewandowski netted 55 goals in 2020 and was arguably a shoe-in for the Ballon d'Or before cancellation.
He was named Player of the Year at the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai last month however.
